enjoyed and remembered forever.
As the only bagpiper in Quebec to participate in all the major bridal shows, including Le Salon De La Mariée, and Marions-Nous, I take pride in offering the most professional bagpiping services available in and around the Quebec area. In addition, having performed at hundreds of weddings over the past fourteen years, I have ample experience playing in all sorts of settings from the deck of a ship, to an enchanted forest, to Montreal's Olympic Tower.
As a newly wed, I know the importance of dealing with professionals. I also know that your wedding day is your day and is meant for you to enjoy; Not to spend catering to details. Whether you are planning a traditional Highland wedding, or just looking for something different, my performance is sure to entertain. Perhaps as a surprise for the grooms' parents, or as a gift to your future bride, I have played for medieval weddings, multiethnic weddings, and even for a not so traditional wedding in Tokyo, Japan. Not to mention surprise appearances which are my favorite!!
My "standard" wedding performance consists of playing...
Before the ceremony - Playing in front of the church as guests arrive adding both entertaining music and a touch of class through the unique presence of a Highland Bagpiper in full regalia
During the ceremony - Leading the processional (flower girl, bridesmaids, maid of honor, then bride) down the aisle to a slow march, most often known as The Highland Cathedral. A soft piece can also be played during the signing of the registry or during communion
After the ceremony - Leading the recessional at the closing of the ceremony. I most often march down the aisle, turn as the guests are applauding the newly married couple, and begin playing back up the aisle and out of the church as all of the guests gather for pictures on the steps.
At the reception - another alternative is to have me play at the reception during the cocktail hour, perhaps posing for pictures with the invited guests, or during the receiving line. Escorting the head table in for dinner also makes for a grand entrance. The possibilities are endless!
